Welcome
Greetings from Oakhaven, a premier, family-friendly subdivision of about 90 homes, located in Wexford, PA. We are conveniently located near schools, churches, and shopping northeast of the intersection of US 19N (Perry Highway) and State Route 910, which are the main crossroads in Wexford.
Our residents are a diverse group comprised of transplants to the region; life-long Western Pennsylvanians; and returnees, who were born here, lived years in other states, and have returned to raise their children. We work for a variety of firms and organizations of all sizes—there is no dominant employer—in a variety of professions, and there are many small- and medium-sized business owners.
Oakhaven is situated in a relatively secluded, low-traffic location. It is a safe neighborhood where children often play outside in their yards and driveways and in the cul-de-sacs, and many residents walk through and around. However, despite its calm and quiet nature, it is very convenient to Wexford’s bustling business district and restaurants, including the new Village of Pine shopping center, and the Village’s neighbor, the Pine Tree Shops.
For those from outside of the area, it is worth noting that Wexford is not a legal entity or political subdivision. It is a post office (zip code 15090) and encompasses portions of several townships. Oakhaven is located in Pine Township and is served by the Pine-Richland School District.
Depending upon the route taken, Oakhaven is no more than 19 miles north of the downtown Pittsburgh. Excluding rush hour, the trip takes between 20 – 25 minutes. We’re minutes from a substantial number of industrial and office parks and other large & small business offices in Cranberry, Warrendale, and Wexford.
For those who fly frequently, Oakhaven is approximately 20 miles northwest of the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport.
Oakhaven is close to both Interstate 79 (the Wexford exit) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) and to the intersection of the two highways in Cranberry, PA, which is about four miles to the north.
We are situated between the two main shopping areas north of the city of Pittsburgh: Cranberry (to the north on US 19), with its many stores and shopping centers, and the Ross Park Mall (to the south on US Truck 19), which is in the McKnight Road shopping corridor.
We are minutes from North Park, one of the large, regional parks in Allegheny County, and minutes from Pine Community Park, site of the new Pine Community Center. We’re close to any number of ball fields, as well as several health & tennis clubs and golf courses. In fact, Oakhaven has its own soccer field that borders the nearest health club. Did we mention there is no shortage of wildlife and bird life in the woods that surround the subdivision?
